The long and hard fought 2008 election cycle ended on November 4th with a massive turnout of voters throughout New Mexico, indicating that the residents of the Land of Enchantment, including Albuquerque, had become deeply involved in the election of their public officials.  Most certainly, I am gratified that a clear majority of voters in New Mexico Senate District 15 cast their ballots for me, but I know all too well that this was far more than a personal victory for me.
